Redeemer Covenant is undergoing some amazing transformations as its previous maze-like hallways and scattered spaces are being opened up and united by a new and generous lobby space that connects all their primary ministry areas and provides much needed fellowship space.
Most of the early construction was demolition of existing walls that previously separated and confined and creating new openings to connect spaces that previously were isolated. This is providing the church with an opportunity to present its full identity to the community in a new way. The transformed and enlarged lobby space will stretch from one end of the building to the other, acting as a street that provides clear orientation to new visitors and visibility to each ministry area. The lobby gathering space supported by a cafe will also give a new ability to fellowship as a visible church body, this happened previously only in separate and scattered spaces throughout the church.
This construction project will really be great to see completed as so many new opportunities become possible for the church in this building and community they have called home for so many years.
